Challenge
A national Health Insurer needed to pivot from old technology to new cloud-based / software as a service in order to launch its new BPO service tied to per member/per month (PMPM) revenue model. The new technology required a seismic shift from current procurement processes and traditional software vendors. New technology partners were needed, and fast.
What We Did
XECsupport worked with the new venture’s Head of Innovation and CTO to assemble a detailed inventory of technology services and quickly researched market solutions that met prioritized criteria. XECsupport ran the procurement cycle to engage software vendors, draft and issue RFPs, organize vendor conferences, demos, scoring, down-selection and recommendations.
Result
The new venture successfully contracted software and services with ten new technology partners in 6 months. XECsupport reduced the RFP cycle (from issue to award ready for contracting) to 30 days. XECsupport worked with Chief Counsel and legal team to accelerate contracting by including key terms and conditions in the RFP process, minimizing contract negotiations after award.
